American Ready Mix

OverviewThe Mobile Mix Process

American Ready Mix can provide concrete footings for pool decks, diving boards, hot tub walls and pool houses.

Explanation of Mobile Mix Process

Mobile mix concrete, also known as volumetric mixing, turns our truck into a complete batch plant on wheels. All dry materials - sand, stone, cement, and admixtures - are stored in separate compartments on the truck. When we arrive at your job site, the operator simply selects the exact mix design on the control panel. The materials are then metered out in precise amounts and fed into a mixing auger at the back of the truck, where water is added and everything blends together as it moves forward.

This on-site process gives you fresh concrete every time, with no waste and no time limit. Unlike traditional barrel trucks, we can instantly adjust the slump, strength, or add fiber mesh with the flick of a switch. We can even change the mix mid-pour if your needs change. The result is highly customizable, durable concrete - including air-entrained mixes perfect for New England's freeze-thaw cycles, delivered exactly where and when you need it.

Getting Concrete Exactly Where You Need It

The extended chute on our mobile mix trucks can reach up to 12 feet from the rear of the truck. This allows us to deliver concrete directly into forms, footings, wheelbarrows, or hard-to-reach areas without needing extra equipment or manual carrying.

The truck can move through an opening as small as 10ft wide and 12.5ft high. At 35ft long, the truck can also make tight turns in narrow streets or driveways. However, when considering where the truck will travel, don't forget to account for overhead items such as branches, electrical wires, and telephone cables. Also consider what is underground where the truck will travel, such as septic systems, pipes and curbs - the truck may damage such items due to weight and height.
